12. FAILURE DIAGNOSTICS
Many times what, at first, seems to be a defect can be solved by you without the need of SCHULZ AUTHORIZED
DEALER assistance. If the problem persists after performing the corrective actions below, contact the nearest
SCHULZ AUTHORIZED DEALER.
EVENTUAL DEFFECT
Engine does not start.
Obs.: Do not insist in starting
engine without figuring out
and solving the problem's
cause.
No energy in the alternating
current circuit.
PROBABLE CAUSE
No fuel in the tank.
No oil in the tray.
No spark in the spark plug.
Fuel is not getting to the carburetor.
The overload protector is not armed.
The overload protector is armed.

SOLUTION
Refuel.
Fill it in with recommended oil.
Change spark plug or remove it and clean
any dirt around it. Remove the spark pug.
Installing it again around the terminal. In
order to test the spark plug, lean its body
on the cylinder and rotate the engine with
the cord verifying if there is spark. If there
is stillno spark, take the generator to an
authorized dealer.
Clean the sedimentaion shell. In order to
check it out: release the draining screw,
open the gasoline valve. Gasoline should
flow through the drain.
Arm the overload protector.
Check the equipment to be used to verify
the presence of deffects. If the deffect per-
sists, take the generator to an authorrized
professional.
