3. Instructions for start-up

3.1 Mounting

The machine must be solidly fixed to the work table by its
3 anchoring points. For this purpose use the two holes 2
putting two screws and two nuts (not included) and the
lower screw of head 6.
3.2 Illustrated description of functions
1. ON/OFF switch.
2. Holes for secure fixing of the machine.
3. Button for adjusting the depth stop.
4. Grinding disk.
5. Operating handle.
6. Sharpener turret.
7. Cutting angle goniometer.
8. Chain guide.
9. Chain fixing rail.
10. Pawl for adjusting the path of the link.
11. Fixing wheels pusher.

4. Operating instructions

4.1 Operations for adjusting

The equipment has 4 settings:
1. Cutting angle setting. Loosen the lower knob of the
head 6 to move the head and position its indicator over
the required angle at the goniometer 7. Selecting 30o
is recommended.
2. Setting the pressure of rail 9. Act upon the lock screw
the
and nut to extract or retract the lever pusher 11. Try
with the chain inserted until you check that it is well
fixed when is disk is lowered.
3. Adjust the path of the pawl 10. Act on the screw that
fixes the arm of the pawl 10. Mount the chain to be
sharpened on the guide 8 and the rail 9 to adjust the
path. The aim is that, when the chain moves to sharpen
a new tooth, the pawl acts as stop so that the tooth is
located in the exact position to become sharpened by
the disk. Thereby loss of time due to tooth-by-tooth
adjustment is avoided. Once advance of the pawl has
been adjusted, all teeth become instantly adjusted.
