POSSIBLE CAUSES
a. Max. current setting not within acceptable
range.
A for motor one,
B for motor two.
b. Friction between rotating parts and station-
ary parts.
c. Bearings faulty.
d. Pumps operating outside operating curve.
e. Mains voltage too low or drop in voltage
when pump starts too big.
a. Motor powered by inverter has starting
current over 31 A.
b. Supply voltage below 190 V
c. Friction between rotating parts and station-
ary parts.
d. Motor short-circuited.
e. Inverter circuit board faulty.
a. Pressure transducer has incorrect full scale
setting.
b. Dirt in contact area between pressure
transducer and water
c. Expansion tanks may not be charged.
d. Inverter's CP parameter set too low.
a. Pressure transducer has incorrect full scale
setting.
b. Dirt in contact area between pressure
transducer and water
c. Fuses: motor one inverter FU1, motor two
FU2 blown.
d. Yellow automatic motor start enabled LED
unlit.
e. No water in system.
f. Valves upstream of manifold faulty.
g. Pumps not primed.
a. Supply voltage too low.
b. Isolating valves or nonreturn valves closed
or obstructed.
c. Excessive pressure losses along suction
and/or discharge line
d. Air in suction line.
Most of our pumps and sets do not contain particularly pol-
lutant materials. Specifi c cases are indicated in the "DEMO-
LITION" chapter in PART 2, where applicable.
ACTION
a. Change settings to correct values and as-
sure compatibility with motors' ratings.
b. Check impellers, shaft and seals.
c. Replace bearings.
d. Alter operating conditions.
e. Contact electricity provider, increase cross-
section of cables supplying power to HERTZ
ONE unit.
f. Change capacitor.
a. Check ratings.
b. Check mains voltage
c. Check impellers, shaft and seals.
d. Replace motor.
e. Replace HERTZ ONE unit.
a. Set the transducer's PFS full scale param-
eter correctly.
b. Clean transducer thoroughly.
c. Recharge expansion tanks.
d. Increase CP parameter (without creating
pressure swings)
a. Set the transducer's PFS full scale param-
eter correctly.
b. Clean transducer thoroughly.
c. Replace fuses.
d. Press motors' respective START keys to
light yellow LEDs.
e. Restore water level in system.
f. Clean or replace suction valves.
g. Check priming, bleed air from system.
a. Contact electricity provider and check cor-
rect sizing of system power supply line.
b. Open or check the valves.
c. Reduce pressure losses, check pipes and
valves for obstructions.
d. Check for leaks or air getting in; bleed air
from system; where necessary, install vent
valves on discharge line
