Carefully unpack the meter. Keep the calibration certificate in a safe place.
3.1 Installing the batteries
NOTICE
Damage to the instrument due to the unsealed battery cover
The IP67 rating requires the battery compartment to be perfectly sealed. The sealing ring around
the battery cover must be replaced if it is damaged in any way.
1 Slide the release button on the battery cover in the direction of the arrow.
2 Hold the lid with two fingers and remove it.
3 Insert the batteries in the battery compartment, as indicated by the arrows on the inside of the compartment.
4 Replace the battery cover and push back the button to fix the lid in place.
3.2 Sensor preparation
Preparation of a pH sensor
Follow the instructions given in the pH sensor manual.
Preparation of an InLab® OptiOx sensor
Note
The OptiOx™ sensor contains an internal clock which counts down the 365 day life span of a new sensor cap.
The countdown begins once the OptiOx™ cap has been attached, the sensor connected to the device and the
first measurement carried out. This process cannot be undone once the first measurement has been carried out.
Note
Do not remove the OptiOx cap after installation until a cap replacement is necessary.
Connecting an IP67 sensor
To connect the IP67 sensor, make sure that the plugs are properly inserted. Twist the RCA (Cinch) / mini LTW
plug to ease the attachment of the sensor.
