Measuring tool too low:
beam runs through the top half of the reception
area 3, direction indicator f on the display and
the corresponding red LED 9 light up. When the
audio signal is switched on, a slow-beat signal
sounds.
Move the measuring tool upward in the
direction of the arrow. When approaching the
center mark, two or three bars are indicated in
direction indicator f.
Measuring tool too high:
beam runs through the bottom half of the
reception area 3, direction indicator d on the
display and the corresponding red LED 6 light
up. When the audio signal is switched on, a
fast-beat signal sounds. Move the measuring
tool downward in the direction of the arrow.
When approaching the center mark, two or
three bars are indicated in direction indicator d.
Measuring tool in the center position:
When the laser beam runs through the
reception area 3 at the center mark 8, the
center indicator e on the display and the
corresponding blue LED 7 light up. When the
audio signal is switched on, a continuous signal
sounds.

the display as well as the corresponding

Audio Signal for Indication of the Laser
Beam
The position of the laser beam on the reception
area 3 can be indicated via an audio signal.
The following audio signal settings are possible:
– An audio signal with high frequency and two
available volume levels,
– Audio signals in three lower frequencies and
one available volume level each,
– An audio signal for indication of the laser
beam being switched off.
To change the volume level or switch off the
audio signal, push the acoustic signal button
2 until the requested volume level is indicated
on the display. At low volume level, the audio
signal indicator h appears on the display with
one bar; at high volume level, the indicator
appears with three bars (only available for the
highest frequency). When the audio signal is set
to off, the indicator goes out. When pressing the
audio signal button, a short audio signal sounds
first for confirmation, then a second short
audio signal sounds in the selected volume
level. Independent of the selected audio signal
setting, a short beep for confirmation sounds
at low volume level and the set frequency each
time a button is pressed on the measuring tool.

operation of the filter is possible only when
sensor 5 is not obstructed and clean.
Marking
When the laser beam runs through the center of
the reception area 3, its height can be marked
at the center mark 8 right and left on the
measuring tool. The center mark is located 50.8
mm away from the top edge of the measuring
tool. When marking, take care to align the
measuring tool exactly vertical (for horizontal
laser beam), or horizontal (for vertical laser
beam), as otherwise the marks are offset with
respect to the laser beam.
