When on roads, observe the road traffic regulations (StVZO).
Each time, before setting off, check the reflectors of your wheelchair
to make sure they are not damaged and are visible for other road
users.
When using the handrims as operational brakes (braking from
speed or on long downhill slopes) your fingers can quickly heat
up. We recommend using leather gloves when driving outdoors, as
these will increase the grip and protect your fingers at the same
time.
Only use the parking brakes for parking, they must not be used to
brake when you are driving.
The seating materials are flame resistant. However, please keep
cigarettes and other possible ignition sources away from your
product.
Observe the storage and operating conditions (see Chapter 15).
When transferring between the wheelchair and the bed (see
Chapter 7)
apply both parking brakes
remove the relevant sideguard (see Chapter 6.4)
Flip the footplates up (when transferring to or from the chair) or
remove the legrests (see Chapter 6.2)
Reporting incidents. The operator or user must immediately report
1. any malfunction
2. any change to the features or performance as well as
3. Immediately report any improper labelling or
instructions for use of a medical device that have or could have
led to the death or serious deterioration of the health of a patient,
an employee or a third party to your competent regional authority
for medical devices. This institute will immediately forward the
notification to the operator's competent authority and also inform

the manufacturer and the manufacturer's competent authority.

2.2. Risk of tipping over

The anti-tip wheels which are fitted on both sides (see Chapter 6.8.4)
will largely prevent the wheelchair from tipping over backwards.
However please note that driving with anti-tip wheels is only possible
in a limited way on ground with different levels, lift platforms and
ramps. Make sure there is sufficient gap at the top, bottom and sides.

2.3. Safety in vehicles

To see whether your wheelchair is permitted for use as a seat in a
vehicle for transporting individuals with impaired mobility or not, you
can refer to the sticker next to the type plate on the wheelchair.
Whether your wheelchair is permitted for use as a seat in a vehicle
for transporting individuals with impaired mobility or not (Fig. 1)
Whether your wheelchair is not permitted for use as a seat in a
vehicle for transporting individuals with impaired mobility or not
(Fig. 2)
The S-VR wheelchair is not suitable for use as a car seat,
so it may not be used as such, under any circumstances. It does not
meet the requirements stipulated by ISO 7176-19. Failure to observe
this instruction can lead to extremely serious or fatal injuries in the
event of an accident.

2.4. Use on Public Roads

The wheelchair is designed for indoor and outdoor use. Please keep in
mind that you are using public roads and therefore have to observe
all road traffic regulations (StVZO). Do not endanger other road users
through inconsiderate driving, especially on walkways.

2.5. Brakes

Operating brake:
When in motion, brake the wheelchair using the handrims. Please note
that the hands may become hot when doing this.
