2.12 FUEL TANK
DANGER
Gasoline is extremely flam-
mable and can become ex-
plosive under certain con-
ditions. Always turn off the
engine, do not smoke or ap-
proach flames or sparks in
the area where you refuel or
store fuel.
2.12.a Refueling
- Switch off the engine.
- Lift the lock cover (1).
- Insert the key (2) and turn it 1/4 turn
in the direction of the arrow "A" to
remove the cap (3).
- Pour the fuel into the tank.
WARNING
Do not fill the tank beyond the
lower limit of the filler neck,
if the fuel overflows, clean
the fuel immediately with a
rag as, in addition to being
extremely flammable, it can
deteriorate painted or plastic
surfaces.
- Refit the cap (3) proceeding inverse-
ly to the removal operations, turning
the key in the direction of arrow "B"
then remove the key (2) and lower
the lock protection cover (1).
NOTE: It is not possible to refit the fuel cap
(3) without the key being inserted in the
lock; it is possible to remove the key (2)
from the cap (3) only if the latter is closed
correctly.
