5.1.p Checking and lubricating the
center stand and side stand
(optional)
Periodically, always check the op-
eration of the central stand and side
stand and lubricate the guide pins (1)
and metal-to-metal contact surfaces if
necessary.
WARNING
If the central stand or side
stand does not raise or lower
easily, have it checked or re-
paired by an Italjet dealer.

5.1.q Shock absorber

preload adjustment

The front (1) and rear (2) shock ab-
sorbers can adjust the spring preload;
to adjust, use the ring nut (3), screw-
ing it increases the preload, vice versa
it decreases.
By screwing the ring nut, the spring
is compressed and therefore a stiffer
damping action is obtained.
Unscrewing the ring nut releases the
spring and therefore you will have a
softer shock absorbing action.
