General Information
Some models are equipped with a "Clearray™" UV light, (optional),
which helps disinfect and purify the water. When the filtering cycle is
started, the generator starts automatically, and shuts off at the end of
the cycle.
The filtration cycle has two phases:
Start
The pump is activated for 1 minute at high speed.
Continuation
The pump is active at low speed and the Clearray™ is also activa-
ted, for the remaining cycle time.
Setting the filtering cycles
To set the filtering cycle:
Press the "Light"
key and hold it down for about 5 secon-
ds. The display will show the message dx, where "x" indicates the
duration in hours.
Use the key "Up/Down"
from a minimum of 0 to a maximum of 12 hours.
NOTE: hold the key down until you reach the desired value. If the
display is equipped with two separate keys, press the key "Up" to
increase the value or the key "Down" to decrease it.
Press the "Light"
key once again to confirm the selected
value and to continue the programming of the start delay, com-
pared to time "0", of the cycle (parameter sy, where "y" indicates
the number of hours).
ATTENTION: the time "0" is the moment at which the hot tub is po-
wered on using the main switch, or the moment at which the para-
meters are memorized. for example, you set as the cycle start delay
to "4", it means that filtering will start 4 hours after you turn on the
hot tub, or after memorization of said parameters.
Set the start delay (from a minimum of 9 to a maximum of 23)
using the key "Up/Down"
to save the entered value and exit from the programming mode.
When this function is active, the LED of the respective symbol
will turn on. If the LED is blinking, it means that the cycle has been
suspended, see the relative chapter for more information.
NOTES
The factory settings are the following:
- cycle duration: 2 hours.
- start delay compared to time "0": 40 minutes.
If no programming is performed, every 24 hours a 2 hour filtering
cycle is performed in any case, and will start 40 minutes after the
hot tub is turned on.
If there is a power outage, the data in the memory is saved, but
the time "0" will become the moment at which the electricity comes
back on. Therefore, it may be necessary to turn the main switch up
the line from the hot tub off and back on to re-align the cycle start
delay with the memorized parameters.
It is possible to vary the filtering cycle setting parameters at
any time by following the procedure provided at the beginning
to enter the desired duration,
and confirm using the "Light"
of this chapter. By modifying these parameters, time "0" is
"shifted" to the time in which the new values are saved.
For example: if you set the value of "s" (start delay) to 8, the new
cycle will start 8 hours after the instant at which the new value is
saved. IT IS also possible to reduce to 0 the value of parameter "s": in
this case, the filtering cycle will start immediately.
Suspending the filtering cycles
The filtering cycle is suspended by activating the pump at high
speed and/or by turning on the spotlight. It will restart 40 minutes af-
ter the function is turned off, from the point at which it was stopped.
This means that if 1 hour remained in the cycle when it was interrup-
ted, when it restarts, it will continue for this time and then stop.
The filtering cycle may be suspended by the anti-freeze pro-
tection ("Smart Winter") or due to overheated water. Refer to the
respective chapters.
If the system is in standby mode (see related chapter), the fil-
tering pump stops and is restarted when the system is no longer
in standby mode.
Overheating during filtering cycles
During the filtering cycle, if the water temperature exceeds the
set point by more than 1 °C (2 °F) (see the chapter "Setting the water he-
ating temperature") and it does not decrease at least 1 °C (2 °F) in the
following 3 hours, the cycle will be suspended until the temperature
does not decrease by at least 1 °C (2 °F) below the set point value.
Even if the water temperature is high (due to excessive sunlight,
for example), filtering is ensured for at least 3 hours.
Clearray™ (optional).
The Clearray™ helps oxidize the organic substances that infiltra-
te the water, and therefore reduces the need for chemical products
for water treatment.
Clearray™ operates automatically and is dependent on pump
activation (at low speed) during the filtering cycle, it remains off
when the hydromassage, blower or even just the spotlight are on
key
(as it is presumed that there is somebody in the tub); Clearray™
(where a filtering cycle is active) begins operating once again 40 mi-
nutes subsequent to switching off the aforementioned functions.
Rapid Filtering ("Boost")
This is recommended after intensive use of the hot tub and/or
is associated with chemical treatment of the water, to favour the
dissolution of substances used for disinfection.
To activate this function, press and hold down the "Pump"
key for 5 seconds. The display will show the message boo.
The operation lasts 45 minutes (this time period cannot be mo-
dified) during which time the pump is activated at high speed
along with Clearray™ (where present).
NOTE: If the heater is on, it will continue to run normally, unless the
system is configured for limitation of electrical consumption.
The function stops:
