These models require a 115/ 120- volt AC,
60- Hz grounded out let prot ect ed wit h a 15- amp
t ime- delay fuse or circuit breaker.
The 3- prong grounding plug minimizes t he possibilit y of
elect ric shock hazard. If t he wall out let you plan t o use is
only a 2- prong out let , it is your responsibilit y t o have it
replaced wit h a properly grounded 3- prong wall out let .
CAUTION
Do not , under any circumst ances, cut or remove t he t hird
(ground) prong from t he power cord.
Do not change t he plug on t he power cord of t his air
condit ioner.
Aluminium house wiring may present special problems—
consult a qualified elect rician.

Power cord includes a current
interrupter device. A test and reset
but ton is provided on t he plug case.
The device should be tested on
a periodic basis by first pressing
st ay engaged, discont inue use of t he
air condit ioner and cont act a qualified
service technician.
LOCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Place t he air condit ioner on a flat , level surface in a
locat ion t hat is at least 20" (50 cm) from any wall.
NOTE: A minimum clearance of 20" (50 cm) from t he air
condit ioner to t he wall must be maint ained to ensure
proper airflow.
• Maint ain a minimum 20" (50 cm) clearance around t he air
condit ioner to not block airflow.
• Keep t he air condit ioner free of any obst ruct ions such as
drapes, curt ains, blinds, etc.
• The exhaust hose should be free of any obst ruct ions.
• Do not place t he air condit ioner on an unst able or raised
surface because it could fall and cause damage or injury.
• Do not place t he air condit ioner in direct sunlight or near
a heat source such as baseboard heaters, stoves, etc.
• The window panel can be inst alled in a window wit h a
minimum 20" (50.8 cm) to a maximum 48" (121.9 cm)
opening.
