5 Fitting the Shin Tube

The instructions in this section are for practitioner use only.
WARNING: Carbon fiber dust is non-toxic but is an irritant to the skin, eyes and lungs.
Always read and comply with local and national Health & Safety regulations regarding
the cutting of carbon fiber. When cutting carbon fiber:
1 . Ensure working area is well ventilated and/or under extraction.
2. Wear eye protection/face shield, dust mask and protective gloves.
Cutting the Shin Tube to Length
The shin tube should be but to the correct length to suit the user.
1.
Size the shin tube to ensure that both proximal
and distal ends are fully seated after cutting.
3.
De-burr and remove any sharp edges from the
cut end of the tube and ensure any debris is
cleaned off.

Use the Tube Cutting Jig (941238) to hold the
tube while cutting it to the required length.
4.
De-grease using a suitable de-greasing agent.
