Please read these operating instructions and the safety notices
in their entirety before operating the brake maintenance device.
Always have the operating instructions close by. If you hand
over the brake maintenance device to a third party, please also give them
the operating instructions.
Instruct the user about the safe and proper handling of the brake
maintenance device before use.

These operating instructions describe the handling and
operation of the brake maintenance devices for the
Per fecta
series. The features of individual brake
maintenance devices may var y. Please note the
instructions and the arrangement of operating elements
for the various versions.
It is only possible to work safely with the brake main-
tenance device if you have read safety instructions in their
entirety and strictly follow the instructions contained
within them.
Improper handling may lead to damage to
health or property!
• The brake maintenance device may only be operated
by those trained to use it. Unauthorized persons are not
permitted to operate it.

Brake fluids are poisonous and may cause
damage to health!
• Avoid any contact with brake fluid.
• Wear protective goggles to minimize the dan-
ger of injury from splashes.
• Wear suitable protective gloves to minimize
the danger of injury from contact with skin.
• Wash skin immediately with water if it comes
into contact with brake fluid.
• Remove contaminated clothes.
• Do not carry any cleaning cloths or other items soaked in
brake fluid in your clothing.
Pull out the plug before doing any work on the
brake maintenance device. Plug in the plug
only when the brake maintenance device is switched off.
Do not make any changes to the design of the brake
maintenance device.
• Always check the brake maintenance device, hoses,
cables and plugs before use. Do not use the brake
maintenance device if it is damaged. The device may only
be repaired by a specialist. Never open the brake main-
tenance device yourself.
• The brake maintenance device must never become
damp and also must not be operated in a damp
environment.
Proper use
The brake maintenance device is solely meant for filling
and emptying brake fluid for brake and clutch equipment
in power-driven vehicles. Any other use beyond this is
regarded as improper and forbidden.
Foreseeable improper use
Operating the device with fluids other than brake fluid can
damage the brake maintenance device and is thus
forbidden.
In the event of improper use, GL GmbH Metall- und
Werkstattechnik is not liable for any damage caused. The
user/operator shall solely bear the risk.
