Operating principle
The brake fluid is withdrawn from the container by means
of a pump and constantly pumped into the brake fluid
vessel at a pressure of up to 3.5 bar. The used brake fluid
can then be drained from the individual wheel brake
cylinders until the new brake fluid comes out.
In doing so, you avoid having to transfer liquids and the
brake fluid can be absorbed in water, unlike conventional
systems.
The pump for filling the brake fluid vessel has a pump
monitor. The pump switches off if pressure cannot be built
up or if the pump suctions air.
Site / workplace
Place the brake maintenance device on a level surface.
Make sure the filling hose is not under me-chanical load
caused by, for example, the vehicle being lifted up on a
hydraulic ramp.
During operation and use, the workplace is the area
surrounding the brake maintenance device. Otherwise, no
permanent workplace for the brake maintenance device is
foreseen.
Operation
Operation describes the connection of the brake
maintenance device to the container with brake fluid as
well as the bleeding of the brake maintenance device. It
must be bled prior to the initial operation.
You must strictly observe the safety instructions in the
section "For your safety".
1
Prior to initial operation, compare the local mains
voltage with the details on the type plate of the brake
maintenance device. The type plate is on the back of
the brake maintenance device.
Only operate the brake maintenance device if the
details are the same.
2
Position the brake maintenance device on a firm and
level surface.
3
Unscrew the lid of the container.
4
Place the container in the fixture on the brake
maintenance device. Secure the container with the belt
to keep it from falling.
5
Feed the suction pipe
touches the bottom. The immersion depth of the suction
pipe
11
can be adjusted using the two cylinder screws.
One pipe is the suction pipe; the other pipe enables the
overpressure to flow back into the container
6
In order to bleed the brake maintenance device, do not
mount the adapter on the vehicle but onto the filling pipe
and hold it over a collecting vessel.
7
Open the stop valve .
5
8
Switch on switch and press button and hold . The
4
pump will start up.
9
Hold the adapter over the collecting vessel until brake
fluid escapes bubble-free.
10
Disconnect the adapter whilst the pump is running and
switch off the brake maintenance device with the
11
into the container until it
3
switch .

11
The brake maintenance device is now ready for
operation, even if the manometer falls to 0 bar. The
pressure side of the brake maintenance device is
bubble-free.
Operation
Bleeding brake fluid
The brake maintenance devices of the "Plus" series have a
suction function for the content of the ex-pansion vessel. A
filter is installed in the suction hose to keep large dirt
particles away from the pump.
1
Make sure the suction vessel is empty and connected.
2
Unscrew lid of expansion vessel.
3
Switch on suction function with switch .
4
Hold the suction hose in the opening of the brake
maintenance device and suction the brake fluid.
5
Switch off the suction function with switch .
6
Dispose of the suctioned brake fluid as indicated in the
safety data sheet for the brake fluid.
Changing brake fluid
• The safety instructions in the section "For your safety"
must be strictly observed.
• Before commencing work, please observe the vehicle
manufacturer's instructions about the maximum filling
pressure and specific working instructions.
• In principle, for every type of vehicle, the instructions
and guidelines stipulated by the manufacturer for the
bleeding of the brake system shall always apply.
The factory setting of the pressure control is a working
pressure of 2 bar. This ensures that the brake fluid vessel is
not deformed and that there are no leaks at the secondary
muff. A lower or higher working pressure can be set on the
pressure control to bleed or change the brake fluid.
7
1
Screw the adapter included onto the thread (D 43 mm)
of the brake fluid vessel or mount the respectively
fitting adapter as per instructions onto the brake fluid
vessel.
2
Connect the filling hose
adapter.
3
Open the stop valve .
4
Switch on the brake maintenance device with switch .
5
Press the start button and hold it until the pressure
has reached at least 0.5 bar. The operating pressure
(max. 3.5 bar) can be adjusted to the desired operating
pressure using the pressure control .
6
Check the brake fluid vessel as to whether the adapter
