Problem
The flame goes out.
Persistent grease fire
Flame flashback -
Fire in burner tube(s).
Flare-up
The gas bottle cannot
be refilled.
One burner cannot
be lit over the other
burners.
Note: If the above information does not solve your problem, please contact
your local gas dealer.
Potential cause
Strong or gusty wind.
The gas is almost
empty.
Overflow valve
triggered.
Grease residues
are bound by food
residues in the burner
area.
The burner and the
burner tubes are
blocked.
Grease residues.
Greasy grilled food.
Grill temperature too
high.
Some dealers have
outdated filling nozzles
with worn threads.
Grease residues or
food residues at the
end of the transfer
tube.
Prevention / Solution
Turn the front of the grate
against the wind or increase
the flame intensity.
Replace the gas cylinder or
have it refilled by your gas
dealer.
See "Sudden drop in gas
flow" (above).
Turn the knobs to "OFF".
Close the gas supply on
the gas bottle. Leave the
lid in the current position
and wait until the fire has
gone out. After the grill has
cooled down, remove and
clean all appliance parts.
Turn the knobs to "OFF".
When the appliance has
cooled down, clean the
burner and/or the burner
tubes (see section "Cleaning
and Maintenance")
Clean the burners, the
inside of the grill/the
combustion chamber.
Cut the fat off the meat
before grilling.
Set a lower grill
temperature.
Worn nozzles do not have
enough "bite" to grip the
valve. Try a second gas
dealer.
Clean the transmission tube
with a wire brush.
