BEFORE USING THE DEVICE, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS
COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY. CORRECT APPLICATION IS VITAL TO THE PROPER
FUNCTIONING OF THE DEVICE.
INTENDED USE/INDICATIONS: The Hot/Cold Therapy Pack is
designed for hot and cold therapeutic treatment of sprains and strains.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Do not apply directly to skin. Always position
the therapy pack in the specially designed mesh wrap and place a towel
between the therapy pack and skin. Do not apply to sensitive skin or
with poor circulation. Extra care should be exercised when applying the
therapy pack to the elderly.
WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS: If you experience any pain, swelling,
sensation changes, or any unusual reactions while using this product,
consult your medical professional immediately. Never wear the support
over an open wound. Watch while heating in microwave. If product
expands, turn off the microwave. DO NOT USE ON INFANTS.
APPLICATION INFORMATION: Preparation: Remove therapy pack
from mesh pouch prior to placing in freezer, water or microwave.
COLD COMPRESS USE
Place therapy pack in freezer for at least 1 hour. Remove from freezer,
and place therapy pack in mesh pocket of wrap. Place towel between
the therapy pack and skin. Apply therapy pack to injured area with
mesh side toward the skin. Wrap elastic strap around limb and secure
with contact closure. Pack stays cold for approximately 15 minutes.
Place in freezer for future use.
HOT COMPRESS USE (BOILING WATER)
Bring pan of water to a boil. Remove from heat. Place therapy pack
in the pan for 8-10 minutes. Remove from pan. Place therapy pack in
mesh pocket of wrap. Place towel between the therapy pack and skin.
Apply to injured area with mesh side toward the skin. Wrap elastic
strap around limb and secure with contact closure. Pack stays warm for
approximately 20 minutes. Allow pack to return to room temperature
after use and after re-heating.
HOT COMPRESS USE (MICROWAVE)
Place therapy pack in microwave safe container with pack completely
covered with water. Heat at full power for approximately 1 - 2 minutes.
(Time based on a 750-watt microwave oven). DO NOT exceed 2
minutes for each use. Overheating may cause pack to rupture and leak.
After heating, remove from microwave and place in mesh pocket of
wrap. Place towel between the therapy pack and skin. Apply to injured
area with mesh side toward the skin. Wrap elastic strap around limb
and secure with contact closure. Pack stays warm for approximately
20 minutes. Allow pack to return to room temperature after use and
after re-heating.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS: Hand wash in warm water using mild
soap, rinse thoroughly. AIR DRY. Note: If not rinsed thoroughly, residual
soap may cause irritation and deteriorate material.
WARRANTY: dj Orthopedics, LLC will repair or replace all or part of the
unit and its accessories for material or workmanship defects for a period
of six months from the date of sale.

CONTRAINDICACIONES: No aplicar directamente en la piel. Colocar
siempre la compresa terapéutica en la envoltura de malla especialmente
diseñada para ello y poner una toalla entre la compresa y la piel. No
aplicarla en pieles sensibles o con circulación deficiente. Prestar un
cuidado especial cuando se aplique a personas mayores.
ADVERTENCIAS Y PRECAUCIONES: Si experimentara dolor,
inflamación, cambios en la sensación o cualquier reacción inusual al usar
este producto, consulte a su médico inmediatamente. Nunca colocar
este soporte encima de una herida abierta. Observar mientras se
calienta en el microondas. Si el producto se dilata, apagar el microondas.
NO USAR EN NIÑOS.
INFORMACIÓN SOBRE SU APLICACIÓN: Preparación: sacar la
compresa terapéutica de su bolsa de malla antes de introducirla en el
congelador, en el agua o en el microondas.
USO DE LA COMPRESA EN FRÍO
Poner la compresa en el congelador durante al menos una hora. Sacarla
del congelador y colocarla en el bolsillo de su envoltura de malla.
Colocar una toalla entre la compresa y la piel. Colocar la compresa
terapéutica sobre el área afectada con el lado de malla hacia la piel
Pasar la tira elástica alrededor de la extremidad y asegurarla con el
cierre de contacto. La compresa permanecerá fría durante 15 minutos
aproximadamente. Guardarla en el congelador para su futura utilización.
USO DE LA COMPRESA EN CALIENTE (AGUA HIRVIENDO)
Hervir el agua en una cacerola. Retirarla del calor. Poner la compresa
terapéutica en la cacerola durante 8-10 minutos. Sacarla de la cacerola.
Colocar la compresa terapéutica en el bolsillo de la envoltura de malla.
Colocar una toalla entre la compresa y la piel. Colocar la compresa sobre
el área afectada con el lado de malla hacia la piel. Pasar la tira elástica
alrededor de la extremidad y asegurarla con el cierre de contacto. La
compresa permanecerá caliente durante 20 minutos aproximadamente.
Permitir que la compresa vuelva a la temperatura ambiente después de
su uso o después de su recalentamiento.
USO DE LA COMPRESA EN CALIENTE (MICROONDAS)
Poner la compresa terapéutica en un recipiente resistente al microondas
y cubrirla completamente con agua. Calentar a potencia máxima
durante aproximadamente 1-2 minutos. (Tiempo estimado en un horno
microondas de 750 Vatios.) NO EXCEDER de los 2 minutos para cada
uso. El sobrecalentamiento podría ocasionar la ruptura de la compresa
y producir escapes. Después de calentarla, retirarla del microondas
y colocarla en el bolsillo de la envoltura de malla. Colocar una toalla
entre la compresa y la piel. Colocar la compresa sobre el área afectada
con el lado de malla hacia la piel. Pasar la tira elástica alrededor de
la extremidad y asegurarla con el cierre de contacto. La compresa
permanecerá caliente durante 20 minutos aproximadamente. Permitir
que la compresa vuelva a la temperatura ambiente después de su uso o
después de su recalentamiento.
INSTRUCCIONES DE LIMPIEZA: Lavar a mano en agua caliente
utilizando un jabón suave, aclarar completamente. SECAR AL AIRE.
Nota: si no se aclarara completamente, el jabón residual podría causar
irritación y deteriorar el material.
