Before you uncouple the device from the wheelchair, make sure that the battery's power button
is set to OFF (Ref. A - Fig. 3)
2 Release and lower the quick mounting levers by pulling them towards you (Fig.7)
3 Grasp the handlebar and push it forwards while moving your body back so that the second
pin disengages (Rif.2 - Fig.6); when the stand is resting on the ground, push the handlebar
downwards, to allow the first pin to disengage, then push the TIBODA forwards and away from
you (Fig.8)
4 The Tiboda is now uncoupled from the wheelchair
9.5 Using and recharging the battery
The TIBODA front drive is equipped with compact 36/48V batteries (depending on the model of
drive) with Samsung lithium cells. The battery has a lock and a USB port for recharging portable
devices such as smartphones, tablets, etc.
It also has an internal electronic controller (BMS = Battery Management System) which shuts off
power delivery when the voltage drops below or rises above a certain range. The controller also
protects the battery against current overloads and short circuits, thanks to its internal fuse.
