10. Fault finding the product
DANGER
Electric shock

Switch off the power supply before
you start any work on the product.
‐
Make sure that the power supply
cannot be switched on accidental-
ly.
10.1 The pump is not running and there is no indicator light
Cause
Power supply failure.
10.2 The pump rotates backwards
No light indication in Grundfos Eye.
Cause
•
Foot valve or non-return valve is clogged or
defective.
•
Foot valve or non-return valve is locked in an
open position.
10.3 The pump can be reset but runs only for a few seconds
Alarm.
Motor is stopped.
Two opposite red indicator lights flashing simultaneously.

Fault finding and fault correction must be carried
out by qualified persons.
Remedy
•
Check if the power supply is switched off. Switch
on the power supply.
•
Check if the external motor protection has
tripped.
•
Check cables and cable connections for defects
and loose connections.
Remedy
•
Remove and clean, repair, or replace the valve
