MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Safety precautions
8.1
Carefully read the instructions provided in chapter "I. SAFETY
PRECAUTIONS" on page 31.
Periodic maintenance
8.2
Besides carrying out maintenance activities according
to the frequency specified in the table, a general inspec-
tion must be carried out on the machine at least once a
year or when a "Maintenance warning" is displayed by a
Qualified Technician.
Component
Type of operation
Keep checking the heating unit pressure which must be between 0.08 and
PRESSURE GAUGE
0.14 MPa (0.8 and 1.4 bar).
Periodically check the water pressure when coffee is being dispensed:
PRESSURE GAUGE
check the pressure indicated on the gauge, which must be in the range of
0.8 to 0.9 MPa (8 and 9 bar).
Check the condition of the capsule holders and
replace them if necessary.
If the lower perforator
is worn or broken,
replace it as follows:
CAPSULE HOLDER
Check the efficiency of the
group's solenoid valve.
Replace some of the group components
every 4 months (we recommend that
you only use original spare parts):
DISPENSING GROUP
WATER FILTER
Replace the water filter cartridge or regenerate the water softener as
WATER SOFTENER
often as specified by the manufacturer.
We recommend that you call out the Technical Assistance at least once
HEATING UNIT
every three months to replace the water in the heating unit.

Use a small screwdriver to remove the spring (1)
that locks the perforator in the seat
of the capsule holder;
Remove the perforator and replace it
with a new one (2);
Reposition the spring (1).
Unscrew the screw (A);
Unscrew the ring (E);
Remove the spring (B);
Replace the perforator (C) if it is worn
(does not dispense compliantly);
Replace the seal (D);
Replace the seal (F).
Component problems highlighted in grey require the machine to
be switched off and one of the Qualified Technicians to be called
out.
Maintenance after a short period of
8.3
machine inactivity
"Short period of machine inactivity" refers to a period
of time exceeding one working week.
If the machine is switched back on after this period,
a Qualified Technician must replace all the water inside
the hydraulic circuits as indicated in para. 6.5.
Furthermore, all periodic maintenance operations
must be carried out, see the previous paragraph.
