Unscrew the fuel filler cap (with the dispenser icon). Do not pull out
the strainer filter inside the opening!
Refill fuel through the plug opening - the maximum fuel level in the
•
tank should not exceed the upper limit of the red level gauge in the
strainer filter, i.a. reach the bottom of the filler neck as max.

Working with the machine
3.3.1 Startup
The fuel valve (f) - the dispenser icon - needs to be set to the ON position
•
so that the fuel can flow from the tank to the carburetor to start the
engine.
•
Only when the engine is cold: activate the choke, i.e. set the manual
choke lever (e) to the closed position ("ON" or "CLOSE", depending on the
type of engine) - see the universal icon.
Set the throttle lever (d) - engine speed control - to the position approx.
•
1/3 of the scale in the direction of fast rotation.
NOTE: the rabbit icon symbolizes fast rotation and the turtle is for slow
speeds, so by moving the lever towards the appropriate icon, you increase
or decrease the engine speed.
Set the ignition switch (h) on the engine to the "ON" position to allow the
•
engine to start.
Grab the lever of the starter lever and pull in a steady motion until you
•
feel resistance on the lever, then with a quick movement pull to the end,
all the while holding the handle in your hand and allowing it to return to
the starting position in a controlled manner. Sometimes in freezing
conditions, it may be necessary to pull the tug handle several times before
the engine starts - this is normal.
After starting the engine, let it work for a bit in order to reach the
•
operating temperature after approx. 3-4 minutes and during this time
gradually move the manual choke lever in the off direction ("OFF" or
"OPEN" or "RUN" - depending on the type of engine).
NOTE: starting a warm engine does not require manual choke - its lever
should be in the open position ("OPEN").
