WARNING
Never hold the material to be cut or attempt to remove cut
material without first releasing the trigger switch and
removing the battery. Release the trigger switch and remove
the battery before clearing jammed material, @ 6.5.4.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of personal injury, never work with the
garden pruner in the rain or in wet or damp conditions,
@ 6.4. Always wear proper clothing and protective apparel,
including proper eye protection, @ 6.3. Work carefully and
maintain proper control of the garden pruner, @ 6.5.2.
The garden pruner is designed for two-handed operation.
► Always start a cut with the chain rotating at full speed and
with the bumper in contact with the wood.
► Use caution when approaching the end of a cut.
► Never put pressure on the garden pruner when reaching
the end of a cut.
► Do not cut more then one branch at the same time.
If the garden pruner is used or stored at ambient
temperatures below 32 °F (0 °C) or above 86 °F (30 °C) it's
runtime and performance may be reduced.
Observe all applicable laws, regulations, standards and
ordinances.

18 After Finishing Work
18.1 Preparing for Transportation or Storage
WARNING
To reduce the risk of personal injury from unintended
activation or unauthorized use, switch off the garden pruner
and remove the battery before transporting the garden
pruner or putting it down. To reduce the risk of injuries from
the sharp cutters on the chain, always cover the guide bar
with the chain scabbard before transporting or storing the
garden pruner.
To prepare the garden pruner for transportation or storage:
► Switch off the garden pruner, @ 15.2.
► Remove the battery, @ 14.2.
► Slide a chain scabbard over the guide bar so that it covers
the entire guide bar.
► If the battery or garden pruner became wet during
operation, allow them to dry separately and completely
before charging or storing.

19.1 Garden Pruner
When transporting the garden pruner:
► Slide a chain scabbard over the guide bar so that it covers
the entire guide bar.
► When transporting the garden pruner by hand, hold it by
the control handle with the guide bar pointing down and
your finger off the trigger switch.
► When transporting the garden pruner in a vehicle, cover
the guide bar with a chain scabbard and insert the garden
pruner securely in the carrying bag (if available). Secure
and position the garden pruner to prevent turnover, impact
and damage.
