1 Torque transducer
Sensitivity 0,59 mV/V. The individual calibration
value is engraved on the machine. On machines
with integrated memory ('S' in the machine desig-
nation) the calibration value is stored in the mem-
ory.
2 Angle encoder
The angle resolution value is engraved on the ma-
chine (only A models). The value is also stored in
the machine memory.
Machine memory
The following information will be stored in the
machine memory :
• pneumatic or electric machine or inline trans-
ducer
• torque transducer: calibration value (Informa-
tion possible to change from FOCUS)
• torque transducer: full scale value (Information
possible to change from FOCUS)
• torque transducer sensitivity: 0.59mV/V,
0.8mV/V or 2.0mV/V (Information possible to
change from FOCUS)

coder : resolu-
tion in pulses /

Signal lights
After the tightening cycle is completed, the signal
lightson the machine reveal the status of the data
for torque and, if used, angle.
The yellow light indicates that peak torque and/or
finalangle data are below the programmed low
limit.
The red light indicates that peak torque and/or fi-
nalangle data are above the high limit.
The green light indicates in-limit torque and angle
readings.
Calibration of machines
All transducerized machines are individually cali-
brated at the factory before delivery. The reason is
that transducers, angle heads and gear trains are in-
dividuals and will affect the calibration value. The
resulting calibration value is engraved on the ma-
chine.
Checking of machine performance with an in-line
transducer is recommended to be done on a regular
basis. If the result from this check is out of limits
the machine should be recalibrated.
A new calibration is recommended to be made at
regular intervals (once / twice a year, after 50 000
– 100 000 tightening) and should always be done
after service, exchange of parts which may influ-
ence the calibration value (i.e. from transducer and
forwards).
