4.1. Instructions for Application
With the help of an instrument clamp, the Universal Tracker Electromagnetic can
be attached to surgical instruments that are not originally intended for navigation.
To mount the Universal Tracker Electromagnetic on an instrument clamp, follow the
steps below.
1. Ensure that the instrument clamp is securely attached to the surgical instrument.
2. Insert the knurled screw (Figure 1, A) into the tracker and turn the knurled screw
clockwise until the knurled screw is loosely connected with the tracker.
3. Attach the tracker to the instrument clamp.
4. Turn the knurled screw clockwise until the tracker is rigidly attached to the instrument
clamp (Figure 2).
