5.5 ASSEMBLING THE SIDE
REINFORCEMENT PANELS OF THE
CUTTING-MEANS ASSEMBLY (ONLY
FOR MODELS TYPE "I", "II")
Assembly the side reinforcement panels on the
cutting-means assembly profile using the relative
screws (fig. 7).
6. CONTROLS AND SERVICES
6.1 CONSENT KEY
This key acts as a main switch, enabling or
disabling the power supply to the machine's
motors and services.
The key (fig. 8.A) has 2 positions:
1. Extracted. Machine Off All circuits are
disabled and the machine switches
off. No functions can be activated
2. Inserted all the way. Machine On. All
circuits are enabled and the machine
is ready to use.
6.2 EMERGENCY PUSH-BUTTON
The emergency push-button(fig. 8.B) allows the
immediate shut down of the motors in case of
emergency.
The push-button has two positions:
1. Enable: pressing the emergency
push-button stops the cutting means
motors and drive control.
2. Reset: turn the emergency push-
button clockwise to reinstate all
the functions. To start the machine,
repeat the start-up procedure using
the key (par. 7.4).
NOTE
With the emergency push-button enabled, the
machine cannot be started.
NOTICE
The emergency push-button must never be used
as the usual method of stopping the machine.
6.3 TRANSMISSION ENGAGEMENT /
DISENGAGEMENT LEVERS
The transmission engagement / disengagement
levers (fig. 8.C) allows the machine to be moved
manually, without switching it on.
Each lever has two positions, indicated by the
following symbols:
1. Transmission engaged: with
2. Transmission disengaged:
CAUTION
The levers must be operated so that both levers
are always in the same position.
Do not leave the machine unattended with the
levers in position 2 (fig.8.C).
CAUTION
Handle the machine manually only on level
ground.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The engagement / disengagement levers must
never be in the middle position. This condition
overheats and damages the transmission.
6.4 DIRECTION LEVER
This direction lever manipulator (fig. 8.D) groups
the machine movement controls and enables
the drive power to the rear wheels, adjusting the
direction of travel (steering) and speed, both in
forward and reverse gear.
This direction lever (fig. 8.D.1) is equipped with
a safety button (fig. 8.D.2) which must always be
pressed to move the machine.
Releasing the safety button (fig. 8.D.2) will stop
the machine.
The direction lever (fig. 8.D.1) can be used in
all directions, which correspond to the following
actions.

the lever (fig. 8.C) in a horizontal
position (1) , the machine can be
moved with the machine switched
on by means of the two motors.
with the lever (fig. 8.C) pushed
downwards (2), the machine
can be moved manually without
switching it on.
