OPERATION - General
The description below corresponds to image 1 on page 2. The fryer is only intended for domestic
use, not for professional use.

OPERATION - Before first use
1. Remove all packaging.
2. Clean the appliance thoroughly to remove any manufacturing residues (see "Cleaning and
maintenance").
ATTENTION: Never use solid fats (like blocks)
ATTENTION: Only use oil or liquid fats specifically suitable for frying
OPERATION - Overheating safeguard
The description below corresponds to image 2 on page 2.
This appliance is equipped with an overheating safeguard. It will be activated when the appliance is
used without (sufficient) oil or liquid fat. When activated, the appliance is switched off automatically
and you cannot use it again, unless it is being reset. Follow these steps to reset the appliance:
1. Disconnect the plug from the wall socket.
2. Switch off the appliance by turning the On/Off - temperature control dial completely to the left.
3. Allow the appliance to cool down completely.
4. Reset the appliance by pressing against the reset button in the hole at the backside of the
panel (see figure 2). Use a toothpick or something similar.
OPERATION - Placement of the handle
The description below corresponds to image 3 on page 2.
1. Squeeze the metal ends of the handle together and place them in the circular openings of the
basket, see figure 3A.
2. Make sure the metal ends of the handle are positioned behind the metal clips, see figure 3B.
3. After releasing the metal ends the handle will be locked see figure 3C.
ATTENTION:
For safe use of the fryer, it is extremely important that the handle is placed correctly.
OPERATION - Using the appliance
1. Place the appliance on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.
2. Remove the lid.
3. Remove all baskets.
4. Fill the inner pan with oil or liquid fat. Be sure the level lies between the 'MIN' and 'MAX' marks in
the pan.
5. Put the lid back on.
6. Insert the plug into the wall socket. The "on/off" indicator light will illuminate.
7. Set the temperature control dial to the required setting. The temperature indicator light will
illuminate to show that the heating element is heating the oil or liquid fat. The temperature
indicator light will extinguish once the oil or liquid fat has reached the required temperature.
