Picture Quality Adjustment
COLOR GUIDE:2 (DLGm parameter
adjustment)
From the COLOR GUIDE:1 screen, pressing the
key calls the COLOR GUIDE:2 screen. Pressing the
EXEC button prints the color guide for changing the
DLGm parameters. The simulation is based on the
picture shown on the camera; you can actually see
what the result of the adjustment looks like.
The center picture is based on the current values.
Around the center picture, six pictures of different
color adjustments are printed.
The DARK parameter is changed by
+3 from the current value. The dark
part increases its darkness.
The LIGHT parameter is changed by
+3 from the current value. The
overexposed picture is obtained.
Current RED, GREEN, and BLUE
parameter values for reference
The DARK parameter is changed by
-3 from the current value. The dark
part decreases its darkness, and the
picture looks like taken in a bright
place.

The values given under each picture are their DLGm
parameter values. For example, the top left picture in
the figure below has the following values: (DARK,
LIGHT, GAMMA) = (+3, 0, 0). To achieve that tone,
g
set the D parameter to +3.
To make further adjustments based on the top left
picture, set the D parameter to +3 and print COLOR
GUIDE:2 again. This time, the center picture is based
on (DARK, LIGHT, GAMMA) = (+3, 0, 0), and the
surrounding pictures are the results of the changes with
reference to the center picture.

by +3 from the current value. The
half tone part becomes darker.

The LIGHT parameter is changed by
-3 from the current value. The half
tone part becomes brighter.
The GAMMA parameter is changed
