7. Prohibited use
It is strictly prohibited:
• To install or use an accessory for the Tracpode
PRO without the proper authorisation and
recognition
or,
supervision of an authorised and recognised
competent person.
• To use a bracket or system for the Tracpode
PRO if any of the markings are illegible.
• To install or use a bracket or system for
the Tracpode PRO without first verifying it
thoroughly.
• To use a bracket or system for the Tracpode
PRO if it has not undergone a periodic
inspection within the past 12 months by a
technician who has permitted its reuse in
writing.
• To attach an accessory to a Tracpode PRO
device that has not been subject to periodic
review during the prior 12 months, by a
technician who has authorised its return to use
in writing.
• To use a bracket for the Tracpode PRO for any
applications other than those described in this
manual.
• To attach a system to a bracket for the
Tracpode PRO by any means other than as
described in this manual.
• To use a bracket or system for the Tracpode
PRO in contradiction with the information
specified in the section 13, "Lifespan".
• To use a bracket for the Tracpode PRO beyond
the capacities mentioned in this manual in
chapter 4, "Functions and descriptions".
• To use a Blocfor bracket or a Blocfor R EVO
device if it has arrested a fall.
• To use a bracket or system for the Tracpode
PRO in a highly corrosive or explosive
atmosphere.
• To use a bracket or system for the Tracpode
PRO outside the temperature range specified
in this manual.
• To use an accessory for the Tracpode PRO if
you are not in good physical condition.
• To use a fall arrest if you are pregnant.

if it is not complete, if it has been dismantled

beforehand or if components have been
replaced by any person not authorised by
Tractel.
• To use an accessory for the Tracpode PRO in
conjunction with the Tracpode PRO if a rescue
plan has not been put in place beforehand in
the event of a fall by the operator.
• To install a Tracpode PRO device on a floor
which is not able to support a vertical load of
13 kN distributed over the three feet.
• To install and use a caRol Duratech winch to
rescue an operator.
• To install and use a caRol R PRO winch or
caRol R TS winch to rescue an operator
downwards.
• To perform any load lifting operation with a
caRol in combination with a rescue operation
involving an operator by lifting or rope access.
• To install and use a Blocfor R EVO device
without reading and understanding the manual
supplied with this system.
• To install and use a caRol Dynatech 150 device
without reading and understanding the manual
supplied with this system.
• To install and use an accessory for the
Tracpode PRO on any equipment other than
Tracpode PRO.
• To lift or lower a load without checking that
there are no obstacles in the path of the load
and that the area under the load is safe.
• To use an accessory on the Tracpode PRO if
it is incorrectly installed or if there is a risk of
destabilisation during use.
8. Associated equipment
8.1. PPE
• Blocfor R EVO (EN 360) fall-arrest systems
with elevation and lowering rescue device
(EN 1496).
