• Check that the PPE system cable is routed
correctly through the PPE pulley attached to
the underside of the Tracpode PRO head.
• Check that the cable for the operator lifting or
movement systems is routed correctly through
the lift pulley attached to the underside of the
Tracpode PRO head.
• See the operating instructions supplied with
the system for instructions on how to use it.
• Always check before use that:
– The cable shows no signs of abrasion,
fraying, burns or cuts.
– The cable shows no signs of bending,
abrasion, corrosion or cut wires.
Additional checks on the Blocfor R EVO and fall

its entire length.
• The housings are in good condition (no
distortion, screws present, etc.).
• The connectors are working properly: no visible
distortion, can be opened, closed and locked.
• The harness and connector attachments are in
good condition. Refer to the specific manuals

4.1. Brackets
IMPORTANT: The Tracpode PRO brackets
are intended for a specific system for exclusive
use on the Tractel
Tracpode PRO.
®
• The Tracpode PRO bracket for Blocfor R
EVO devices may only be used as an anchor
point with the Blocfor 10 and 20 R EVO. The
maximum operator weight is 150 kg.
This bracket can be used in accordance with:
– Standard EN 360 on self-retracting fall
protection systems.
– Standard EN 1496 on elevation and lowering
rescue devices class B.
• Tracpode PRO brackets for caRol may only
be used as an anchor point with caRol R
TS150, caRol R PRO12, caRol R PRO20 and
caRol Duratech 150 winches. In this case, the
maximum WLL is 150 kg for lifting a load.
These brackets can be used in accordance with:
– Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
– Directive

IMPORTANT: Standard EN 795:2012 indicates
that it is not possible to use the Tracpode PRO
simultaneously as a load lifting anchor point and
fall arrest anchor point.
However, if the working environment in no
way allows the operator to use an EN 795
anchor point other than that of the Tracpode
PRO, the operator who has to work on the
lifting device can use a Tracpode PRO PPE
anchor point to secure himself, subject to a
full risk assessment.
