ALIGNING THE SAW BLADE AND THE FENCE
See Figures 21 to 24.
•
Remove the battery pack from the saw.
WARNING: Failure to remove the battery pack from the saw could result in the saw starting accidentally and cause
serious personal injury.
•
Push the saw arm right down and engage the locking pin to hold the saw arm down in transport position.
•
Raise the mitre table clamping lever.
•
Rotate the mitre table until the index is aligned on 0°.
•
Push the mitre table clamping lever back down.
•
Put a set square flat down on the mitre table. Place one side of the set square against the fence. Slide the other side
of the set square up to the flat part of the blade.
NOTE: Make sure that the set square is in contact with the flat part of the saw blade, not the teeth.
•
The edge of the set square and the saw blade should be parallel, as shown in figure 21.
•
If the front or back edge of the saw blade angles away from the set square as shown in figures 26 and 27, adjustment
is required.
•
Using the 6 mm Allen key supplied, slacken the cap head screws securing the saw arm mounting to the mitre table.
See Figure 24.
•
Turn the saw arm mounting to the left or right until the saw blade is parallel with the set square.
•
Retighten the screws and check the angle between the fence and the saw blade.
