Medical device for respiratory gymnastics
These operating instructions are provided for device model P0920EM.
INTENDED USE
Medical device for the prevention of increased accumulation of secretions and for therapy,
in case of acute and chronic diseases of the lower airways. Prevention and/or treatment
practices must be prescribed by professional medical personnel.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
Diseases of the lower airways associated with increased accumulation of mucus and
secretions. It allows you to perform PEP (Positive Expiratory Pressure) therapy and O-PEP
(Oscillatory Positive Expiratory Pressure) therapy.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
The device should not be used by persons with severe pneumothorax or those coughing
up large quantities of blood (massive hemoptysis).
The following side effects may occur: Dizziness
If you notice any of these side effects, stop the treatment immediately. Contact your doctor
or therapist to discuss how to proceed with the treatment.
Inform your doctor or therapist if you notice any side effects not listed in these instructions
for use.
INTENDED USERS
The devices are intended to be used by professional medical personnel. The device can be
used directly by the patient.
GROUP OF RECIPIENT PATIENTS
The device can be used:
– from children aged 4 to 10 years.
– by children aged 10 and over and by adults.
The frequency and duration of use are determined by professional medical personnel based
on the individual needs of the patient. Before use, the device requires careful reading of the
user manual and the presence of an adult responsible for safety if the use is intended for
children or people with limited abilities (for example: physical, mental or sensory). It is up to
the medical staff to evaluate the patient's conditions and abilities to establish whether the
patient is able to operate independently or if the patient is not able to use the device safely
independently and whether the prevention and/or therapy practices must be performed
by a responsible person.
OPERATING ENVIRONMENT
This device can be used in health care facilities, such as hospitals, clinics, etc., or even at
home.
