method A: Get a disinfectant of electrolytic chloroxidizing type (active ingredient: sodium
hypochlorite), specific for disinfection, available in all pharmacies.
Execution:
- Fill a container of suitable size to contain all the individual components to be disinfected
with a solution based on drinking water and disinfectant, respecting the proportions
indicated on the disinfectant package.
- Completely immerse each single component in the solution, taking care to avoid the
formation of air bubbles in contact with the components. Leave the components immersed
for the period of time indicated on the disinfectant packaging, and associated with the
concentration chosen for the preparation of the solution.
- Retrieve the disinfected components and rinse them thoroughly with warm drinking
water.
- Dispose of the solution according to the directions provided by the disinfectant
manufacturer.
method B: Disinfect the components by boiling in water for 10 minutes; use demineralized
or distilled water to avoid limescale deposits.
method C: Disinfect the components with a hot steam type bottle sprayer (not microwave).
Carry out the process by faithfully following the instructions of the vaporizer. For disinfection
to be effective, choose a sterilizer with an operating cycle of at least 6 minutes

After disinfecting the accessories, shake them vigorously and place them on a paper towel,
or alternatively dry them with a hot air jet (e.g. hair dryer).
Sterilisation
Device: Steam steriliser with fractionated vacuum and overpressure compliant with EN
13060.
Execution: Package each individual component to be treated in sterile barrier system or
packaging in accordance with EN 11607. Place the packaged components in the steam
steriliser. Perform the sterilisation cycle in accordance with the instructions for use of the
equipment by selecting a temperature of 134°C and a time of 4 minutes first.
Storage: Store sterilised components according to the instructions for use of the system or
sterile barrier packaging chosen.
The sterilisation procedure was validated in accordance with ISO 17665-1.
At the end of each use, store the device complete with its accessories in a dry and dust-
free place.
