WARNINGS
• Use the device only as intended. This medical device is not intended as a life saving
device. Any different uses are to be considered improper and can be dangerous. The
manufacturer is not responsible for any improper use.
• This product is to be used only as described in these instructions for use.
• The time required to pass from storage conditions to operating conditions is appro-
ximately 2 hours.
• Always consult professional medical personnel for identification of cure.
• Keep this manual carefully for any further consultation.
• When the device is used in combination with another medical device, the instructions for
use of the same must also be followed.
• The materials used in the device are biocompatible materials and comply with mandatory
regulations, however possible allergic reactions cannot be completely excluded.
• The device is made of an impact-resistant but not unbreakable material. Therefore, protect
it from shocks and be careful not to drop it.
• The device does not administer drugs or substances.
• At the end of each use, after cleaning as per the HYGIENIC PREPARATION paragraph, store
the device in a dry place away from dust.
• In the case of PEP therapy, no particular knowledge is required on the part of the user (who
is normally the patient himself ) except the ability to verify that the selected calibrated
hole corresponds to the medical prescription, which occurs through a specific pressure
gauge provided only to staff professional doctor.
• Risk of suffocation
• Some components of the device are so small that they can be swallowed by children; the-
refore keep the device out of the reach of children.
• Risk of ineffectiveness of therapy:
- Use the device in the correct position (see instructions for use paragraph).
- Use original Flaem spare parts, we decline all responsibility in the event non-original spare
parts or accessories are used.
- O-PEP treatment will be ineffective if the patient inhales/exhales too rapidly or has to force
himself excessively to breathe.
• Risk of infection:
- This medical device should only be used by a single patient.
- Before and after each use, follow the hygienic preparation operations. Make sure the de-
vice is not stored near other accessories or devices for different therapies (e.g. infusions).
