• If the machine is permanently connected to the power supply, this means:
- the mains disconnection device in off ("0") position is equivalent to removing the plug from the power
socket;
- the mains disconnection device in on ("1") position is equivalent to fitting the plug in the power socket.
• In the event of the power lead being too short, an extension can be used as long as this does not exceed
50 m/164 ft, and that the cross section of the leads is at least 1.5 mm
•
. If an extension is used, the plug and the socket must be of the sealed-immersion type.
WARNING
•
. Inadequate extensions can be dangerous.
WARNING
• Do not use reductions or adapters between power plug and socket.
CAUTION
• In the case of electric machines with three-phase motor, be very careful to make sure the motor rotation
direction corresponds to that indicated on the reduction gear. If this is not the case, contact a
, who will simply switch over a lead inside the power plug. Failure to comply with this
TEChNICIAN
instruction will seriously damage the machine.
PRECAUTIONS CONCERNING PUmPED ChEmICAL PRODUCTS
WARNING
• Store the chemical products in ventilated premises, with door equipped with lock. The products must be
out of reach of children and unauthorised persons. Place hazard notices outside the premises.
• Carefully read the safety instructions and precautions on the chemical product packs, so as to be able to
take suitable measures to prevent hazards affecting people and the environment. In particular, do not
exceed maximum recommended concentrations and only prepare the quantity of product needed to
avoid dispersion on the ground and in the water system. Also comply with the other laws that local and/
or national authorities may prescribe in the country where the machine is used.
• In case of contact with eyes, immediately rinse with water. In case of swallowing, do not induce vomit:
immediately contact a doctor, and show him/her the pack of chemical product. Avoid inhaling any gases
produced.
• Always wear adequate protection gear and keep away children, unauthorised persons and personnel not
adequately protected. Do not drink, eat and smoke.
• At the end of the various operations, carefully wash your hands and face.
• Carefully wash any clothes that have come into contact with the chemical products. Any contaminated
items must be immediately washed.
• The chemical product containers must be disposed of through pre-sorted waste collection centres and
in accordance with the laws of the country where the machine is operating.
WARNING
• Pay particular attention to the
• Filling up must be done carefully without spilling any of the product on the ground or in waterways.
• Only put water in the tank using free falling water pipes or indirectly (jugs, cans, etc.). If a pipe is used
to fill up it must never touch the liquid that is in the tank. Do not connect directly to the drinking water
mains.
• Do not let the tank overflow and only put enough product in that is needed for the treatment.
a) Turn the cover (2) anticlockwise and check that the opening in its centre is not clogged.
b) Check that the fill-up filter (23) and the inside of the tank are clean.
c) Check in the ECO models that the knob (42) is inserted correctly and in the locked position (see also the
"CLEANINg THE FILTERS"
d) Put the chemical product in to be sprayed. A trial run is advisable before the first treatment using clean
water to check the machine is working properly and to become familiar with it.
e) Reclose, turning the cover (2) clockwise without forcing.
