4.0 - FIRST COMMISSIONING
• Before commissioning, check that all the indications on the plate, including the flow direction, are respected;
• IMPORTANT: In the initial start-up phase, power the valve electrically for approximately 15-20 seconds and
de-energise it. Repeat the operation for at least 4-5 times to ensure Air-Oil separation within the hydraulic circuit.
• After having gradually pressurised the system, check the tightness and operation of the solenoid valve, powering/
disconnecting it electrically.
4.1 - RECOMMENDED PERIODIC CHECKS
• Check with a suitable calibrated tool that the tightening of the bolts complies with that indicated in 3.2;
• Check the tightness of the flanged/threaded connections on the system;
• Check the tightness and operation of the solenoid valve;
• Clean the product regularly to avoid the accumulation of dust;
• It is essential to remove the risk of ignition caused by stray currents or any condition of potential difference between the
devices on the system. Periodically check that there is good electrical conduction between the valve body and the system
equipotential line and between the coil and the system equipotential line.
It is the responsibility of the end user or installer to define the frequency of the afore-mentioned checks based on the severity
of the service conditions.
4.2 - FLOW RATE ADJUSTMENT
• The flow rate must be adjusted in the absence of an explosive atmosphere, with the system stopped and the valve
NOT electrically powered. If previously powered, it is recommended to wait for the opening system (1) to cool
down and/or to use suitable thermal protections for hands;
• Unscrew the retaining screw (18) and move the protective casing (3) upwards to the position shown in fig. 1.
• Loosen the screw (16) and move the switch (15) by sliding it along its pin. The more the switch is moved upwards, the
more the maximum flow rate of the solenoid valve is limited. Once the switch (15) has been positioned, secure its position
by tightening the screw (16). The setting range is marked by the min and max indications.
• IMPORTANT: Check that the switch de-energises the pump to the set position.
• When the operation is completed, reposition the protective casing (3) in the original position and secure it in that position
using the screw (18).
