10. Menu navigation
Press the M E N U button to activate the OSD. The
available options are displayed on the lower edge of
the screen.
You can use the direction buttons to select the
options from the main menu.
You can use the direction buttons to select the
options from a menu.
You can use the direction button to access a sub-
menu (not every menu has a submenu option).
You can use the direction buttons to enter a
value or make another selection.
The M E N U button returns you to the previous menu
at any time.
Close the menu with the E X I T button.
Please note that the menu will close automatically if no
button is pressed.
You can select the following main menus:
CHANNEL menu

OPTION menu

Due to technical changes, the menus descri-
bed here may differ from the menus actually
displayed on your screen. Depending on the
selected source, not all menus are available.

AUTO TUNING
If you have selected the source DTV (DVB-T or DVB-C), the
following setting options are available:
– COUNTRY
Select the desired country for the channel
search.
– TUNE TYPE
Use the direction buttons to select the recep-
tion type:
ATV+DTV (search for analogue and digital TV
channels)
ATV (search for analogue TV channels)
DTV (search for digital TV channels)

– DIGITAL TYPE
Use the direction buttons to select the digital
connection type (DVBT or DVBC).
– SCAN TYPE
(only in DVB-C mode)
Set the search mode. Leave the setting on
NETWORK SCAN or FULL if you do not want
to configure any special settings.
– NETWORK ID
(only in DVB-C mode)
Set the network ID. The default setting is
AUTO.
– FREQUENCY
(only in DVB-C mode)
Set the frequency. The default setting is
AUTO.
Only active if the NETWORK SCAN option
has been selected in the Search mode set-
tings.
– SYMBOL RATE
(only in DVB-C mode)
Set the symbol rate.
– SORTING BY LCN
Logical Channel Numbering: Select the ON
setting if you want to sort the channels based
on a preset channel list (if available from the
channel supplier)
After you have configured all the settings, press O K . The
channel search will then start.
If you have selected the source SATELLITE, the following
setting options are available:
– COUNTRY
Select the desired country for the channel
search.
– SATELLITE
Select the satellite on which the search will be
started.
– SCAN MODE
Set the search mode.
DEFAULT: A search will be carried out on the
selected satellite, based on the transponder
list saved for this satellite. This requires a little
time.
NETWORK: Activate/deactivate the network
scan.
BLIND SCAN: A complete search will be car-
ried out on the selected satellite. This will also
take into account new transponders that have
not been added to the list of transponders.
Two searches are carried out with the blind
scan. The first search identifies the transpond-
ers for the satellite, while the second search
locates the channels. The blind scan takes the
longest time.
– CHANNEL TYPE
Decide which channels you want to search for:
FREE (free channels), SCRAMBLED (encrypt-
ed channels) or FREE+SCRAMBLED (free and
encrypted channels).
