1. SAFETY
This manual gives an overview of start-up and
maintenance for the motor-driven pump. All the
information in this document refers to the most
normal cases of use. This manual must always be
provided with the motor-driven pump.
In the event of resale, the manual should be attached
to the product.
Safety recommendations for people and objects.
The following symbols next to a paragraph indicate
risks in the event of not following the safety
procedures.
DANGER: Not following this procedure can
lead to danger for the user.
DANGER: Not following this procedure can
lead to danger of electrocution.
WARNING: Not following this procedure
can lead to damage to facilities.
1.1 BASIC SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
AND RISK PREVENTION
WARNING: Please read carefully
Please read these instructions carefully
before using the motor-driven pump.
DANGER: For animals and children.
Keep the motor-driven pump out of reach of
animals and children when it is in operation.
DANGER: Explosions
Only fill the petrol and oil tanks when the
engine is stopped. Avoid over-filling which
can lead to petrol leaks and spills. Do not
start the motor-driven pump close to flammable
materials such as petrol, oil and other explosive
materials.
DANGER: Poisoning
Do not run the motor-driven pump in a
closed space: garage, tunnel, etc.
Keep the exhaust pipe away from any
foreign bodies. When it is running, the motor-driven
pump gives off carbon monoxide - an extremely
toxic, odourless and invisible gas that can cause
severe nausea, fainting and can even be fatal.
DANGER: Hot surfaces
Do not touch the engine and other hot parts
of the motor-driven pump while it is working
or just after stopping it. The combustion
exhaust pipe reaches very high temperatures. Do not
remove the protection from these parts.
