INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND HANDLING OF CONTROLS Read and save these instructions IMPORTANT: It is advisable to switch on the hood a little before you start to cook and leave it running for a while after you finish cooking in order to remove all fumes and smells from the kitchen and from the flue system.

To replace an exhausted battery, remove the back cover quite, remove the battery with care so as no to damage or deform the unit’s connection tabs, insert a new battery observing the indicated polarity.     To clean and care for steel, proceed in the same way as for enamel hoods, applying a neutral soapy solution with a cloth and then rinsing with another, damp cloth. After drying the hood, simply apply Pando Stainless Steel Cleaner to even out the different degrees of shininess or darker patches which may be left after cleaning and give it a flawless, regular finish.

  • Página 23 ALUMINIUM AND STAINLESS STEEL FILTERS: The metal filters fitted to the hoods are made from aluminium profiles and mesh in the same light alloy material. It is important to remember that these filters must be replaced if they deteriorate as they act as a barrier against flames in the event of any sudden fire (the filters must of course be kept completely clean and free from remains of grease particles AT ALL TIMES).

ACTIVE CARBON FILTER MAINTENANCE (filter version only): (Fig. 1, page 4) The air sucked up by a fume extractor hood is recirculated or recycled through special active carbon filters. Their function is to filter out the fumes from the air and send it back out into the room. This option should only be used in the event that a flue to take fumes and gases out of the kitchen cannot be installed or if the smell of such fumes and gases would be a problem in the place to which they would be evacuated.

  • Página 57 FILTRES EN ALUMINIUM ET INOXYDABLES : Les filtres métalliques montés sur les hottes sont fabriqués en profil en aluminium, avec des mailles en alliage léger fabriqué dans le même matériau. Il est important de ne jamais oublier de substituer ces filtres par d’autres de rechange une fois usés, car ils assurent une fonction efficace de coupe-flamme en cas d’apparition ponctuelle d’une flamme (bien entendu, les filtres doivent TOUJOURS être parfaitement propres et sans aucun reste de graisse).

    2.1. INSTALACION: VERSIÓN ASPIRACIÓN • ADVERTENCIA: PARA REDUCIR EL RIESGO DE INCENDIO, UTILICE SOLAMENTE CONDUCTOS METÁLICOS. En el caso de que no sea posible descargar los humos y los vapores de la cocción hacia el exterior, se puede utilizar la campana en versión filtrante (Fig. 1) (según versiones, consultar distribuidor) montando un kit de filtros de carbón activo.

  • Página 88 ATENCIÓN – ADVERTENCIAS – MANTENIMIENTO La batería se debe sustituir cada año para garantizar el alcance óptimo del transmisor. Para sustituir la batería descargada quite la tapa posterior, luego extraiga la batería con cuidado de no dañar o deformar las patillas de conexión de la misma, introduzca una nueva respetando la polaridad indicada. Batería tipo botón, Litio modelo CR-2032 3V.

    Una vez seca la campana, bastará aplicar el “Limpiador de Acero Inox Pando” para igualar los distintos brillos o sombras que hayan podido quedar después de la limpieza, dando de esta forma un acabado homogéneo y perfecto.

    Posteriormente, y con el fin de igualar en brillo y textura toda la superficie, aplicaremos el producto exclusivo “Limpiador, Abrillantador y Protector de Acero Inoxidable Pando”, producto que podrá adquirir en su Distribuidor habitual o bien a través de nuestra amplia Red de Servicios de Asistencia Técnica.
  • Página 91 FILTROS DE ALUMINIO E INOXIDABLES: Los filtros metálicos que equipan las campanas, están realizados en perfil de aluminio y malla del mismo material de aleación ligera. Es importante tener en cuenta que estos filtros deben ser cambiados por otros de repuesto, una vez estén deteriorados, ya que sirven de forma efectiva como corta llamas, ante una esporádica inflamación (evidentemente los filtros deben de estar SIEMPRE perfectamente limpios y sin restos de partículas grasas).

MANTENIMIENTO FILTRO CARBON ACTIVADO (solo para la versión filtrante): (Fig. 1 Pág., 4) La recirculación o reciclaje del aire extraído por una campana extractora de humos, se realiza a través de unos filtros especiales de carbón activado. Su función es la de purificar el humo extraído y enviarlo nuevamente al recinto.

    RECOMENDACIONES EN CASO DE CONDENSACION Referente a un problema de condensación en campanas de acero inoxidable o cristal funcionando en combinación con una placa de inducción, vitro-cerámica…, se informa que este efecto puede ser debido a varios motivos por separado o en su conjunto. Uno es la utilización de la encimera a máxima potencia sin precalentamiento, un inadecuado uso o mantenimiento de la campana, o una incorrecta instalación del conducto de evacuación de humos.
