• For models and versions supplied with external, ceiling or wall-mounted motors, where the motor is to
be located must be taken into account, as it must be in an easily-accessible, safe place with enough room
for the size of motor for any possible repair or maintenance work by the technical service.
• Once the motor required has been decided on, take into account the maximum distance between the
hood and the motor according to the table of motor features.
• For high-powered motor systems, V2300 and V2500, the minimum distance from hood to motor must
be 4m, or preferably between 4 and 6m. If they are located closer together, this may create problems with
high noise levels. It is also advisable to install motors of this type with a SEC soundproof flue (optional,
not included as standard; consult distributor).
• The cooking area must be centred underneath the hood, and must always be smaller than the hood, i.e.
the hood must project further than the cooking area by at least 10cm on each side.
COMPATIBILITY WITH THE HEATING POWER OF COOKING AREAS
• Our hoods are for domestic use and are designed to withstand a heating power of up to 3.6Kw in the
cooking area. Do not use with professional or wood-burning cookers.
• If burners with heating power in excess of 3.6Kw are used, never leave them lit without a container over
them to disperse the main focus of heat. They could damage internal and external components of the
hood, which would not be covered by the manufacturer's guarantee.
• For high-powered cooking areas (more than 3.6Kw) it is recommended that the distance between the
cooking area and the base of the hood be increased to 70 or 80cm (it moust be borne in mind that if the
vertical gap is increased, the size, model and power of the motor need reviewing, being greater the more
the height is increased).
• If a cooking area with high heating power is to be used, consult your distributor to choose the right hood
model and for advice on use and installation.
