Permanently installed compressors must be located in a clean, well
ventilated dry room so compressor receives adequate supply of
fresh, clean, cool, and dry air. It is recommended that a compressor,
used for painting, be located in a separate room from that area
wherein body sanding and painting is done. Abrasive particles or
paint, found to have clogged the air intake filters and intake valves,
shall automatically void warranty.
The compressor is not suitable for outdoor installation.
The compressor must be installed with full contact on firm level
ground or flooring with sufficient structural strength. The bearing
surface must be level to within 3mm (0.12"). Permanent installations
are required to be anchored to the floor. Bolt holes are provided in
the air receiver or base feet. Use shims to level the compressor unit.
Do not use vibration isolators.
If installing a base mounted unit, make certain the systems has
adequate pressure limiting controls. Controls could be a pressure
switch for start/stop operation or a pilot valve for continuous
operation. If a pilot valve is used, the compressor must be equipped
with head unloaders. Control air must be piped from the air receiver
to the pilot valve.
It is not recommended to duct to inlet or discharge of the package.
This is due to enclosure modifications that would be required that
could negatively affect the structural integrity of the enclosure.
A properly sized check valve on a base-mount package must be
installed in the discharge piping, between the compressor outlet
and the inlet of any receiver tank(s) in the system.
No modifications/alterations should be made to equipment.
Installation of compressor unit should only be performed by a
qualified professional in accordance with the literature.
The installation site (compressor room) should be of sufficient size
that on side ("A") a minimum clearance of 36" and on side ("B") a
minimum clearance of 36" may not be undershot. The clearance
above the compressor should be at least 36". There should also be
appropriate access space for maintenance work.

Set up the compressor so that there is sufficient access and that
the required cooling is ensured.
Do not block the air inlet.
Avoid moisture.
Air Receiver Installation
DANGER
Do not tighten the anchor screws/nuts down
completely, this will result in undesirable stress on
the tank foot. This can cause abnormal vibration
and possible cracking of the air receiver, resulting in
injury or equipment damage.
Installation hardware items (studs, screws, nuts, shims) are not
provided. It is the compressor owner's responsibility to provide a
suitable foundation. Do not use vibration isolators.
