WARNING: When the vehicle is stationary, operating the throttle with a gear engaged may
lead to its accidental movement with subsequent risk of accidents.
• Verify that the gear is in neutral every time you stop the vehicle.
• Always shut off the engine before getting off the motorcycle. Never leave the motorcycle
unattended with the engine running.
• The presence of the automatic clutch may cause the
3
accidental movement of the vehicle even with the
engine shut off and a gear engaged. Ensure to enga-
ge the parking brake every time the motorcycle is sta-
tionary (see §4.8). The parking brake engaged condi-
tion is signaled by the lighting of the RPM limiter indi-
cator (red light flashing).
• Start the engine only after the rider has seated on the
motorcycle. Ensure the engine has reached idle
speed, then pull the clutch lever and apply the brake
before putting the motorcycle in gear. Release the
clutch lever and the brake lever, then gradually rota-
te the throttle to put the vehicle in motion. When a
gear higher than 2nd is engaged, standing starts are
prevented by the activation of the "Creep Limiter"
function, which is signaled by the lighting of the RPM
limiter indicator (red light on).
WARNING: The free play of the automatic clutch can be set by turning the adjuster screw
on the clutch slave cylinder (see §5.2). This operation must be strictly performed by an
authorised MV Agusta service centre.
