Magnetizing a tire
1. Park the car on a flat area, and apply the hand brake.
For safety, switch off the car engine and chock the tire.
2. Select the tire you want to magnetize, and mark the 90˚ section for magnetiz-
ing.
As shown above, mark the 90˚ section of the tire with white chalk. Do this by making two
chalk marks on either side where the tire touches the ground.
• Use the package to measure the 90˚.
• The marked 90˚ section q is for magnetization. The remaining 270˚ section w is for
demagnetization.
