10. Stopping

 Stopping
 For the engine, read the engine instruction manual carefully.
1. When the work is done, release the gun trigger and stop the jet, and then lock the trigger.
2. Set the speed control lever at the low speed position and allow the engine to run at low speed for 1 to 2
minutes to cool it down.
3. Turn the stop switch to the "OFF" (O) side and stop the engine.
4. Pull the trigger in a safe direction and release pressure from the high-pressure hose, and then lock the
trigger again.
5. Close the fuel cock.
6. If water is fed directly from a water tap (faucet), close the water tap. If self-priming, stop feeding water to
the water feed container.
 Emergency stop
 When stop the engine in case of an emergency, turn the stop switch to the "OFF" (O) side.
Caution
 Stopping the engine without cooling may cause bursting noise from the muffler.
 Do not perform the emergency stop as it gives extra load to the machine and shortens its life. Do
not use this stop mode unless there is an emergency.
1. When the engine has stopped, set the speed control lever to the "Low speed" (L) position.
2. Close the fuel valve.
3. If water is fed directly from a water tap (faucet), close the water tap. If self-priming, stop feeding water to
the water feed container.

After Work

Caution
 Before removing the high-pressure hose, pull the trigger and release the remaining pressure.
Failure to do so may result in accidents or injuries.
Caution
 Be sure to idle the machine to drain water. In winter, skipping these steps may cause machine
damage due to freezing.
 Do not keep the machine idle for more than 1 minute for draining water.
 Wipe off water droplets and mud attached to the machine. Failure to do so may result in rust or
breakdown.
 Repair any damaged part before storing the machine. Be sure to use genuine parts and
consumables specified by Maruyama.
 It is important to store this machine in a frost-free area. Be careful in winter season.
 For the engine, read the engine operation manual carefully.
1. Loosen the water drain/air bleeder knob and if water is fed directly from a water tap, remove the water
suction hose from the water tap. If self-priming, pull out the water suction hose and water suction
strainer from the water feed container.
2. Start the engine and set the throttle lever to the "Low speed" (L) position.
Pull the trigger and discharge water from the suction hose and high-pressure hose. (Idling)
3. Stop the engine as soon as water has been discharged from each hose.
4. In winter, keep the water drain/air bleeder knob open to prevent damage caused by freezing.
5. Close the fuel valve.
6. Slowly pull the recoil starter handle until resistance is felt and leave it in that position. This prevents
outside air (humid air) from entering the engine.
7. Remove the high-pressure hose from the machine and spray gun and reel it while wiping the surface
clear of any soiling. Drain water remaining in the hose when the hose is reeled in. Store the hose with
care to not let mud and dirt come into the connection parts.
8. Pull the trigger of the spray gun and drain all water remaining inside. Store the spray gun with care to not
let mud and dirt come into the connection parts. Wipe the surface clear of any soiling.
