(3) Precautions for use
 Purposes of use
Do not transport the machine with fuel in the fuel tank or with fuel valve open.
During transport, it must be fixed so that the machine will not tip over.
1) Removing dirt and mold from decks, cement patios, and house siding.
2) Cleaning cars, boats, motorcycles, outdoor furniture, and grills.
 Fuel
Warning
Keep fire away from the machine during refueling or under maintenance.
Gasoline is extremely flammable and its vapors can explode if ignited.
 Be sure to stop the engine and wait for it to
cool down prior to refueling. If fuel is spilt, wipe
it away carefully and wait until the fuel has
dried before starting the engine. Otherwise,
spilled fuel may ignite and cause fire.
 Keep the machine at least 3 m away from the fuel
supply container before starting engine.
 To reduce the risk of fire and burn injury, handle fuel
with care. It is highly flammable.
 Do not smoke while handling fuel.
 Engine
Warning
 Do not operate the machine indoors. Carbon monoxide poisoning may occur.
 Do not breathe the exhaust gas from the engine.
 Empty fuel tank and secure the machine before
transporting in a vehicle. Failure to do so may result in
fire.
 Never operate the machine indoors or in a poorly
ventilated area, such as tunnels, wells, tanks, cave, etc.
 Never inhale the exhaust gas from the engine.
Exercise extreme care when operating the engine
near people or animals. It may cause carbon
monoxide poisoning.
Carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless, and
extremely dangerous gas, can cause
unconsciousness or death.
 Keep away from hot parts. The engine becomes very
hot while running or just after it has stopped. Touching
the muffler, cylinder fins, etc., may cause burns.
 Do not touch the spark plug and ignition cable when starting and operating the engine.
 Keep the engine away from flammables and other hazardous materials (trash, rags, lubricants,
explosives). It may cause fire.
 Machinery
 Preparation and precautions before work
 Read the Instruction Manual carefully and familiarize yourself with the operations of the machine.
 When unpacking, the machine has no oil in the engine and pump. Be sure to fill engine oil before using
the machine for the first time.
 Shut off the engine before inspections, preparations, or maintenance. Failure to do so may result in
injuries.
 Keep people other than operators, and animals, away from the work area. Failure to do so may result
in accidents.
 ONLY use clean water. Use of muddy water, etc., may cause breakdown.
 Do not put objects on the machine. The machine may be damaged or break down, or accidents may
occur.
 Use the machine at ambient temperatures (20  15C).
 ONLY use cold water.
 Before using the high-pressure hose, make sure the hose is straight. If not, damage to the hose may
occur.
 Do not use this machine for pumping drinking water, etc.
 For outdoor use only.
