5.3 Zusammenschalten mehrerer LSX-30
Es lassen sich mehrere LSX-30 zusammenschalten,

um so über das Mikrofon des Hauptgerätes (Master)
oder die daran angeschlossene Fernbedienung

LC-3 alle weiteren Nebengeräte (Slave) zu steuern.
1) Die Buchse DMX OUT (12) des Hauptgerätes
über ein 3-poliges XLR-Kabel (z. B. Serie MEC-...
oder MECN-... aus dem Sortiment von „img
Stage Line") mit der Buchse DMX IN (11) des
ersten Nebengerätes verbinden.
2) Die Buchse DMX OUT des ersten Nebengerätes
mit der Buchse DMX IN des zweiten Neben-
gerätes verbinden usw., bis alle Geräte in einer
Kette angeschlossen sind.
Die Buchse DMX OUT besitzt eine Verriege-
lung. Zum Herausziehen des Steckers den
PUSH-Hebel drücken.
3) Sobald an den Nebengeräten die Steuersignale
vom Hauptgerät anliegen, leuchtet bei ihnen die
rote LED SLAVE (6). Bei den Nebengeräten über
das Menü den gewünschten Slave-Modus („nor-
mal" oder „2 Light Show") wählen – siehe Kapitel
5.5, Menüpunkt „Slave-Modus".
5.4 Bedienung über ein Lichtsteuergerät
Zur Bedienung über ein Lichtsteuergerät ist der
LSX-30 mit fünf DMX-Kanälen ausgestattet. In der
Tabelle Abb. 4 sind die Funktionen und zugehörigen
DMX-Werte angegeben.
1) Den DMX-Eingang (11) mit dem DMX-Ausgang
des Lichtsteuergerätes verbinden.
Zum Anschluss sollten spezielle Kabel für
hohen Datenfluss verwendet werden. Normale
Mikrofonkabel sind nur bei einer Gesamtkabel-
länge bis 100 m zu empfehlen. Die besten Über-
tragungsergebnisse werden mit einem abge-
schirmten Mikrofonkabel von 2 x 0,25 mm
einem speziellen Datenübertragungskabel er-
reicht. Bei Leitungslängen ab 150 m wird das Zwi-
schenschalten eines DMX-Aufholverstärkers emp-
fohlen (z. B. SR-103DMX von „img Stage Line").

5) For a control depending on the music adjust the
volume of the music system so that the green
LED SOUND (6) shortly lights up more frequently.
6) To select another figure, press the button FUNC-
TION (18).
5.3 Interconnecting several LSX-30 units
Several LSX-30 units can be interconnected in order
to control all further auxiliary units (slaves) via the
microphone of the main unit (master) or via the
remote control LC-3 connected to it.
1) Connect the jack DMX OUT (12) of the main unit
via a 3-pole XLR cable (e. g. series MEC-... or
MECN-... from the product range of "img Stage
Line") to the jack DMX IN (11) of the first auxiliary
unit.
2) Connect the jack DMX OUT of the first auxiliary
unit to the jack DMX IN of the second auxiliary
unit, etc. until all units are connected in one row.
The jack DMX OUT has a latching. To pull out
the plug, press the PUSH lever.
3) As soon as the control signals of the main unit
are present at the auxiliary units, their red LED
SLAVE (6) lights up. Select the desired slave
mode ("normal" or "2 light show") via the menu at
the auxiliary units – see chapter 5.5, menu item
"slave mode".
5.4 Operation via a light control unit
For the operation via a light control unit the LSX-30
is equipped with five DMX channels. The functions
and corresponding DMX values are indicated in the
table fig. 4.
1) Connect the DMX input (11) to the DMX output of
the light control unit.
For the connection, special cables for high
data flow should be used. The use of standard

Die DMX-Ausgangsbuchse besitzt eine Ver-
riegelung. Zum Herausziehen des Steckers den
PUSH-Hebel drücken.
3) Den DMX-Ausgang des letzten DMX-Lichteffekt-
gerätes der Kette mit einem 120-Ω-Widerstand
(> 0,3 W) abschließen: An die Pins 2 und 3 eines
XLR-Steckers den Widerstand anlöten und den
Stecker in den DMX-Ausgang stecken oder
einen entsprechenden Abschlussstecker (z. B.
DLT-123 von „img Stage Line") verwenden.
4) Um den LSX-30 von einem Lichtsteuergerät
bedienen zu können, muss die DMX-Start-
adresse für den 1. DMX-Kanal eingestellt wer-
den. Ist z. B. am Steuergerät die Adresse 17
zum Steuern des Laserstrahls vorgesehen, am
LSX-30 die Startadresse 17 einstellen:
a) Die Taste MENU (2) einmal drücken, so dass
im Display
b) Die Taste ENTER (7) drücken. Das Display
zeigt die momentane Adresse.
c) Mit der Taste DOWN oder UP (3) die entspre-
chende Adresse einstellen.
d) Zum Speichern die Taste ENTER erneut drü-
cken. Das Display zeigt kurz
Hinweis: Jede Taste muss innerhalb von 8 Sek.
gedrückt werden. Anderenfalls wird die Einstel-
lung nicht geändert und das Menü ausgeblendet.
5) Nach dem Einstellen der Startadresse sind die
Kanäle 2 – 5 automatisch den darauf folgenden
Adressen zugeordnet. Beispiel:
Startadresse 17 = Kanal für den Laserstrahl

Adresse 18 = Kanal für die Figurauswahl
Adresse 19 = Kanal für die Bewegung der Figuren
Adresse 20 = Kanal für die Drehung der Figuren
Adresse 21 = Kanal für die Zoomeinstellung
Als nächstmögliche Startadresse für das fol-

2) Connect the DMX output (12) to the DMX input of
the next light effect unit. Connect its output to the
input of the following unit, etc. until all light effect
units are connected in one row.
The DMX output jack has a latching. To pull
out the plug, press the PUSH lever.
3) Terminate the DMX output of the last DMX light
effect unit in the row with a 120 Ω resistor (> 0.3 W):
Solder the resistor to the pins 2 and 3 of an XLR
plug and connect the plug to the DMX output
or use a corresponding terminating plug (e. g.
DLT-123 from "img Stage Line").
4) To be able to operate the LSX-30 from a light
control unit, the DMX start address must be ad-
justed for the 1st DMX channel. If e. g. the
address 17 is provided at the control unit for the
control of the laser beam, adjust the start address
17 at the LSX-30:
a) Press the button MENU (2) once so that
(address) is displayed.
b) Press the button ENTER (7). The display
shows the present address.
c) Adjust the corresponding address with the
button DOWN or UP (3).
d) To memorize press the button ENTER again.
The display shortly shows
Note: Each button must be pressed within 8 se-
conds. Otherwise the adjustment will not be
changed and the menu will disappear.
5) After the adjustment of the start address the
channels 2 to 5 are automatically assigned to the
addresses following it. Example:
Start address 17 = channel for the laser beam
address 18 = channel for the selection of the figures
