Frost protection

If there is a risk of frost, you must drain the gas instan-
taneous water heater. This is the case if your water
pipes threaten to freeze. This is how to do it:
• Close the gas stop cock (4) and the shut-off valve on
the cold water connection (3) by turning them clock-
wise.

• Unscrew the hex bolt (1) for draining and take out the
water filter.
• Open all hot water taps connected to the gas instanta-
neous water heater so that the appliance and pipes
are fully drained.
• Leave the hot water taps and the drain plug open until
refilling the heater after the danger of frost is over.
• Clean the water filter before screwing the drain plug
back in.
Note!
When subsequently filling the gas instantane-
ous water heater, only start it up when water
comes out of the open hot water taps after you
open the shut-off valve on the cold water con-
nection of the appliance. This ensures that the
gas instantaneous water heater is properly
filled with water.

Maintenance and customer service

Permanent operational readiness, reliability and a long
service life require inspections and maintenance work to
regularly carried out by a heating engineer.
Caution!
Inappropriate handling can cause damage.
Never attempt to perform maintenance or
repairs on the gas instantaneous water heater
yourself.
Call in an approved expert company. We recommend
concluding a maintenance contract.
The operational reliability of the device can be impaired,
resulting in damage to property or personal injury, if
maintenance work is not carried out.
