Removal from the blank
Utmost care must be taken when removing the frames from the blank:
▷ Separate the frames by grinding them out using a turbine grinder
(without water-cooling) and a pointed diamond bit (do not use cut-
ting discs).
For trimming and dressing the connectors and smoothing out the
frames, we recommend using the Amann Girrbach polishing set.
Final sintering
The Ceramill Therm high-temperature furnace or another
high-quality and suitable furnace is recommended for the sin-
tering (please also refer to the operating instructions of the
respective sintering furnace).
Highly translucent zirconium oxide and opaque zirconium oxide can
be sintered together in one sintering process.
NOTE:
When highly translucent zirconium oxide and opaque zirconium
oxide are sintered together in the same sintering bowl and with the
same sintering pearls, then this can lead to changes in the translu-
cency. Therefore, it is advisable for highly translucent zirconium
oxide and opaque zirconium oxide, to use individual sintering pearls
in separate sintering bowls.
▷ Place the frames for sintering into the sintering bowl filled with sin-
tering pearls.
