InPro 4550 VP pH electrode
Attention! Do not under any circumstance use METTLER
TOLEDO reactivating solution (ordering no. 51 319 053 / in
USA 43 989 5125) as this contains hydrofluoric acid (HF)
which would attack the Xerolyt reference system.

Diagnostics

The electrodes are equipped with a grounding ring which
allows a diagnostic of the diaphragm condition. If this
diaphragm (open junction) should become clogged or
if the reference resistance exceeds a certain value (see
transmitter operation manual), it is then necessary to
replace the electrode. InPro 4550 VP electrodes should as a
general rule not be cleaned with acidic cleaning solutions,
e.g. diaphragm cleaning solution, reactivation solution, etc.
However, by extremely careful application, it is possible to
reactivate the glass membrane, see point 9 below.

Trouble-shooting (sluggish response time,
insufficient sensitivity)
Attention! The glass membrane must be very cautiously
dabbed with HF solution using a fine brush and taking
care that solution does not come into contact with the
titanium pin (metallic solution ground). Also check the
electrode connector (VP) for possible traces of moisture.
If necessary, clean well using deionized water or alcohol,
and afterwards dry carefully.
