6 Handling
6.1 Charging the battery
NOTICE
Use of incorrect power supply unit/battery charger
Damage to product due to incorrect voltage, current or polarity.
► Use only power supply units/battery chargers approved for
this product by Ottobock (see instructions for use and cata
logues).
NOTICE
Deep discharge of the battery
Irreparable damage to the product and resulting loss of function
ality in case of irregular and incomplete charging of the battery.
► In case of long-term storage, fully charge the battery every 4 to
6 months.
The following points must be observed when charging the battery:

The capacity of a fully charged battery is sufficient for an aver
age day's use.
•
We recommend charging the product overnight when used by
the patient on a daily basis.
•
Use the 757L16* power supply and 757L14 battery charger to
charge the battery.
6.2 Inserting the battery into the battery receptacle
► Insert the battery in the battery receptacle and allow to engage.
INFORMATION: The electrical contact will be established
by engaging the battery.
6.3 Removing the battery from the battery receptacle
1) Push the engaging lever of the battery receptacle forward.
2) Remove the battery from the battery receptacle.
