Switching On Device
The device FloSteady Arthroscopy Pump can be operated connected to the mains
power supply as well as the integrated rechargeable battery pack.
• Ascending bars in the battery symbol (Fig. 5-1 "Device front", (7)) indicate that
the battery is charging.
• Five bars in the battery symbol indicate that the battery is fully charged.
• When operating the device connected to the battery, LED (Fig. 5-1 "Device
front", (18)) is not lit.
• The charge status of the battery is indicated by the corresponding number of
bars in the battery symbol (Fig. 5-1 "Device front", (7)) on the touch panel.
When activating the device a tubing should not be inserted.
1. Press the Stand-by/ON key (see Fig. 5-1 "Device front" (19)).
2. The device now initializes and then runs the device check.
3. The touch panel (1) depicts consecutively the following:

and after the successful completion of the device check
FloSteady SELECT/ Device OK
The touch panel depicts now Insert tube set.
5.3.1
Device Displays with Prematurely Inserted Cassette Tubing
If a cassette tubing was already inserted or if the cassette tubing was inserted
during the device check, the touch panel depicts a prompt to remove the cassette
tubing.
1. Press once on the center of the cassette tubing using your finger until you
hear "click".
2. The cassette tubing emerges slightly.
3. Pull out cassette tubing.
4. Reinsert once Insert tube set is displayed.

Device Displays after the Unsuccessful Device Check
The respective error is depicted on the touch panel if the device check was unsuc-
cessful. For example:
• Device error
• Motor error
• Sensor error
• Electronics error
• Keyboard error
• Calibration error
All other displays are not depicted in this case. See 16 "Error and Warning Mes-
sages" for more details.
