11.2
Cleaning the Device
1. Use the Stand-by/ON key to turn the device off.
2. Remove the power cable.
3. Wipe the surface of the device with a soft cloth moistened with the surface
disinfectant (for example Meliseptol® rapid). The concentration of the used
disinfectant depends on the information provided by the manufacturer of
the disinfectant. Make sure moisture does not enter the device.
NOTE!
Do not sterilize the device.

Cleaning the Autoclaveable Remote Control
Use only ph-neutral and mild cleaners to clean the remote control. Use a brush.
Follow the instructions of the manufacturer concerning concentration and resi-
dence times.
11.4
Disinfecting the Autoclaveable Remote Control
Use only ph-neutral or slightly alkaline disinfectants. Perform the disinfection ac-
cording to the information provided by the manufacturer of the disinfectant.
NOTE!
The autoclavable remote control must completely be rinsed with the disinfec-
tant to ensure disinfection takes place.
• Disinfect only cleaned wired remote control units.
• The wired remote control unit may be disinfected thermally and by machine.
• Recommended disinfecting procedure: Thermal disinfection.

Sterilizing the Autoclaveable Remote Control
The manufacturer has tested the remote control for 100 sterilizations*. Never ex-
ceed the number of sterilization cycles indicated by the manufacturer.
Only a cleaned, disinfected, and dry remote control may be sterilized with satu-
rated vapor. Please comply with the instructions of the operating manual includ-
ed with your autoclave.
CAUTION!
These instructions do not guarantee the sterility of the product. Your hygiene
and infection control department or responsible organization continues to be re-
sponsible for validating sterilization and sterility.
