4.2.2) Using the drilling machine with the support trolley (Ref. to Fig. 6).
– Insert the spigot (31) of the drill into the housing of the trolley (see Fig. 3).
with the drilling machine supported by the trolley, proceed to move the main
handle through 90° as follows:
– Loosen the positioning handle (13) and release the main handle (06) from the drill (1)
(see Fig. 3 and 4).
– Place the main handle (06) in the new position (2) (see Fig. 4) insert the locating pins,
through the slot, into their corresponding holes.
– Tighten the re-set handle (13).
– Follow the instructions in § 7 and allow the machine to "warm up" for 2 minutes prior to
commencement of work.
– Using the main handle on the drilling machine, move the trolley over the sleeper to the
desired hole position and locate the guard end piece, into the bush of the chair.
Note: For use of the support trolley, refer to specific "Service and Maintenance Manual".
4.3) Drilling
The auger starts to rotate only when the engine is fully revved: rev the engine gradually
and then operate a slight starting pressure on the machine so that the bit tip catches and
starts drilling the wood with the automatic advancement, without additional force from the
operator. When the preset drilling depth is reached, the adjustment device (27) prevents
any further advancement; at this stage, release the accelerator (08) and the return springs
(26) will automatically retract the machine.

4.4) Emergency release

To remove the machine during a drilling operation, proceed as follows:
4.4.1) Machine equipped with "MND" spindle
– Immediately release the accelerator.
– Operate the emergency lever (12) moving it downwards.
– Keeping the lever depressed, slightly twist the machine, to release the auger. Lift and
remove the machine from the auger.
4.4.2) Machine equipped with "MND1" spindle
– Immediately release the accelerator.
– Operate the emergency lever (12) which immediately releases the auger from the
machine. Lift and remove the machine from the auger.
5. REPLACING THE SPINDLE
(See Fig. 1 and 2)
For augers having a Ø 16 mm shank, the "MND 1" spindle must be interchanged with the
standard "MND" spindle.
Replace the spindle as follows:

9.1) Tappo serbatoio

Nel tappo del serbatoio è incorporata una membrana
di sfiato. Verificare che il passaggio non sia intasato,
altrimenti il carburante non fluisce correttamente nel
carburatore, causando problemi di accensione o
funzionamento del motore. Assicurarsi che la mem-
brana sia ben agganciata all'interno del tappo.

10. MESSA A RIPOSO DEL TRAPANO

A lavoro ultimato, mettere a riposo il trapano, procedendo come segue:
10.1) Pulire accuratamente il trapano, sopratutto nella zona della punta, da residui di la
vorazione utilizzando uno straccio pulito ed eventualmente inumidito con alcune
gocce di cherosene.
10.2) Pulire e, se necessario, lubrificare gli steli delle molle di richiamo (Rif. § 6.1.1).
10.3) Riporre il trapano in luogo chiuso ed al riparo da polvere, umidità ed urti accidentali.
Per una migliore protezione, la Cembre consiglia l'impiego dell'apposita custodia
metallica tipo VAL SD (Rif. § 3.5) nella quale trovano posto:
– Il trapano.
– La protezione mobile (smontata dal trapano).
– La valigetta VAL P6 degli accessori a corredo.
11. RESA ALLA Cembre PER REVISIONE
In caso di guasto contattare il nostro Agente di Zona il quale vi consiglierà in merito e
fornirà le istruzioni necessarie per l'invio del trapano alla nostra Sede; se possibile, allegare
copia del Certificato di Collaudo a suo tempo fornito dalla Cembre con il trapano oppure,
in mancanza di altri riferimenti, indicare la data approssimativa di acquisto.
